Cavaliers trade rumors: Latest updates on Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen and more image

Recent struggles in the Cleveland Cavaliers organization have hinted at multiple potential moves that can take place in the trade market.

After having an NBA-best start to the 2024-25 season, going 25-5 in their first 29, the Cavaliers are sitting at 15-14 in 2025-26.

Things are certainly not going as planned, and names like Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen, Dean Wade and others have popped up in rumors.

Trade updates on Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen and Dean Wade

Dallas Hoops Journal's Grant Afseth and Hoops Wire's Sam Amico broke down the current rumors spreading throughout the Cavaliers team.

Darius Garland, 25, has been rumored to be interested in running his own team rather than operating as the second option to Donovan Mitchell.

According to the insiders, Garland is viewed as a point guard less risky to trade for. The Sacramento Kings and Minnesota Timberwolves are taking notes on his situation.

Jarrett Allen, 27, is a less likely trade candidate for Cleveland. With increased league-wide interest in centers, moving the Cavs' big man would be difficult "unless the package was irresistible," Afseth said.

Dean Wade, 29, is a more low-key player who could work out financial situations for a lot of teams in the league. He's currently playing on an expiring contract that owes him $6.6 million this season.

Wade could be a player that Cleveland would include in a trade package at some time before February's trade deadline.

Who knows. Maybe Cleveland will stay patient with the large number of injuries it has sustained this season and flip the script, but as of now, a big change in the season is needed to find the same success it had in 2024-25.
