Miles Bridges exits with ankle injury as Hornets' injury woes continue image

The Charlotte Hornets can't seem to catch a break. Earlier in the season, LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller were sidelined due to ankle and shoulder injuries.

In their last game against the Orlando Magic, star rookie Kon Knueppel went down with an ankle sprain. Now, Charlotte has suffered another injury in the first half of Monday night's game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Miles Bridges went down with an ankle injury and has been ruled out from returning.

Coming into this matchup, there were only three Hornets' members who've yet to miss a game this season, Knueppel (who missed his first game tonight), Bridges (who got hurt) and rookie Sion James.

Ryan Kalkbrenner is also currently injured with an elbow strain. His absence tonight marks his fourth consecutive game missed.

With all of that said, the Hornets still came out firing. Charlotte's incredible offense scored 66 first half points and took a three-point lead to the halftime break.

LaMelo Ball, Brandon Miller and Collin Sexton all reached double-figures with the trio combining for 9-for-17 shooting from beyond the arc.

Charlotte is also outrebounding Milwaukee 23-11, with Moussa Diabate continuing his persistence on the glass.

With Giannis Antetokounmpo back in the lineup for Milwaukee, the Hornets will have to work hard to keep their lead and earn their third straight victory.

Following Monday night's game, Charlotte will stay at home to face the Golden State Warriors on New Year's Eve.
