The Milwaukee Bucks have been one of the more popular teams emerging in trade talks this season.
Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has expressed that he wants the team to make the moves necessary to continue contending for NBA championships. If this request isn't made, Antetokounmpo could be seeing his way out of Milwaukee.
A lot of names have emerged as potential trade targets for the Bucks, and now the Brooklyn Nets' top player could be one Milwaukee is targeting.
Michael Porter Jr. Becomes a potential trade target for the Milwaukee Bucks
The Athletic's Sam Amick has listed players like the Sacramento Kings' Zach LaVine and Malik Monk, as well as the Portland Trail Blazers' Jerami Grant, as players that could be traded to the Bucks.
Not just this, but Amick mentioned that "league sources say Brooklyn's Michael Porter Jr. Is a name worth watching as well."
Porter Jr. Was traded from the Denver Nuggets to the Brooklyn Nets this past offseason. Denver's motivation behind the deal was to shed the 27-year-old's two years remaining of his five-year, $179.29 million contract.
Porter Jr. Went from being a third option on the Nuggets to being the main guy in Brooklyn. This has resulted in him being on pace for career-highs in points (25.8), rebounds (7.5), and assists (3.3).
If a deal could be made, Porter Jr. Would add much-needed help for the Bucks, who are currently ranked 26th in points per game (113.0) and dead last in rebounds per game (40.2).
