It hasn't been the ideal start to the 2025-26 season for the Brooklyn Nets, unless you're a fan who wants the team to lose to get a higher draft pick.

Unfortunately, the Nets are 2-12 and in 13th place in the Eastern Conference.

As the Nets approach the next few years, it's evident that the organization plans to continue the rebuild and try to acquire as many assets along the way.

Bleacher Report recently proposed a trade idea for them to do just that, but it wouldn't be as ideal as it might sound.

The trade from the outlet would move Anthony Davis to the Chicago Bulls as the most significant piece, while the Nets would move on from Jalen Wilson to Chicago, and also land Dalen Terry, Jevon Carter, the rights to Melvin Ajinca, and two second-round picks from Chicago.

“The Nets still have about $15.3 million in cap room to continue that strategy. Here, the franchise gets a free look at Terry (No. 18 in 2022), who can be made a restricted free agent this summer. The team also gets the rights to French prospect Ajinça, a late second-rounder in 2024, plus a pair of seconds from Chicago.

“To make roster space for Terry and Carter, the Nets need to include Wilson and cut Martin, finishing with at least $5.3 million in remaining cap room (depending on the timing of the trade with Martin earning daily on his non-guaranteed $2.2 million salary),” BR wrote.

Would trade help the Nets?

Taking a flyer on Terry isn't the worst idea, but he’s also struggled to earn minutes in the Bulls' rotation.

Considering the Bulls have struggled a bit over the past few years outside of the beginning of this season, that's a bit of a concerning sign.
