NBA Champion, Michael Porter Jr., has taken the league by storm, showing his true potential as a number one option on the Brooklyn Nets.

The forward was traded from the Denver Nuggets over the summer to the Nets in exchange for Cam Johnson and a 2032 first-round pick to give Denver more financial flexibility.

With the increased opportunity, Porter Jr. Is averaging 25.9 points and 7.4 rebounds and showing many teams what he is capable of in an expanded role.

As the trade deadline approaches, it's been reported that many teams could be potential suitors for Porter Jr. If he were to be available from the Nets, but would it even make sense for Brooklyn to give up the 27-year-old forward?

How could both Porter Jr. And Brooklyn benefit from a trade?

If traded to the right team, it's evident that Porter Jr. Can thrive and greatly assist them to either make a playoff or championship run this season, but how could this help the Nets?

The Nets have been one of the worst teams since the departure of the all-star trio: Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden, which didn't result in much playoff success.

Now, with Brooklyn finally having another star to look forward to, who may be set to make his first-ever all-star appearance, it wouldn't make much sense for them to give him away when they can attempt to build around him.

Last week, reports surfaced that the Nets would be willing to take on salary for draft compensation. If they can find a franchise piece in the upcoming draft, which is going to be one of the most talented draft classes in a long time, and if they can also gather some extra cap space while maintaining talent such as Thomas and Porter Jr., it could greatly set Brooklyn up for the future.
