Anfernee Simons was an exciting offseason addition for the Boston Celtics.
And with no Jayson Tatum for most or all of this season with injury, Simons was expected to be a big piece in Boston.
But on Friday night in Orlando against the Magic, Simons has something weird going on.
He hardly played in the first half.
By halftime, Simons had played just two minutes.

Why isn't Anfernee Simons playing more tonight?
There's no official word on Simons' status as to why he isn't playing more.
The Celtics haven't announced any sort of injury for the guard.
Coming off the bench, he's bounced up and down a little bit as far as minutes go, but nothing like this.
Joe Mazzulla will likely have an explanation after the game, and it may make perfect sense.
But for anyone counting on Simons in any way on Friday night, this could be brutal if it continues as a benchwarming second half, too.
