The Boston Celtics and New York Knicks are getting set for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, where the heavily favored Celtics find themselves in a 0-1 hole.
After an electrifying Game 1 that saw Boston blow a 20-point lead and New York steal home-court advantage, Celtics fans are on the edge of their seat. Especially after the Indiana Pacers' shocking Game 2 victory last night that saw them take a 2-0 lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers heading back to Indiana.
The favorites have not done well so far in the 2025 NBA Conference Semifinals, with all four road teams stealing the first games in their respective series, something never before seen in league history.
However, the Celtics and their fans can breathe a sigh of relief, as history is on their side.
Dating back to the start of the 2024 playoffs, Boston is a perfect 4-0 after losing a playoff game, including their first-round series against Orlando. Not only do they bounce back to win the next matchup, but they have always gone on to win their series, too.
Those four victories have also come with an average of 15 points, indicating the Knicks could be in trouble for Game 2 at TD Garden.

Even worse for New York, they are 6-20 all-time in road Game 2's, signaling that the Celtics are on track to even up the series heading back to Madison Square Garden.
