Damian Lillard's departure from the Milwaukee Bucks came out of nowhere.
It seemed that no one, maybe not even Dame, saw it coming.
But with a torn Achilles, Lillard became expendable for a Bucks team trying to keep contending and keep Giannis Antetokounmpo around.
So they stretched-and-waived him, a $113 million waiving that's the largest in NBA history.
Now, he can sign anywhere else, and teams have been linked left and right.
And in one viral post, Lillard is proclaimed to have signed with the Celtics.

Did Damian Lillard sign with Celtics?
No, Damian Lillard did not sign with the Boston Celtics.
That parody account, NBA Centel, intends to mimic real news possibilities but without real facts involved.
As of July 4th morning, that post had been viewed more than one million times on X.
Lillard hasn't made up his mind, and it's not clear if he'll sign soon or give it some time before picking his new team, given that he won't be able to play for the majority of 2025-26 anyway.
For now, Dame is still available.
