The Boston Celtics are dealing with injuries to their two biggest stars. Jayson Tatum, who suffered a torn achilles, had surgery and is on the long path to recovery. One piece of Celtics news that hasn’t been talked about as much is that of Jaylen Brown’s injury. Brown was playing through a partially torn meniscus last season. A recent Celtics injury update on Jaylen Brown’s surgery was released by the team on Wednesday.

The Celtics' injury update on Brown’s surgery said, “Jaylen Brown today underwent a successful right knee arthroscopic debridement procedure. He is expected to participate in training camp without limitation.”

This is great news for the Celtics, who would be in real trouble if Brown were dealing with an injury as severe as Tatum’s.

In fact, this Jaylen Brown injury could not have come at a better time. The Celtics are likely going to take next season to regroup and prepare for another deep playoff run once Tatum returns.

Brown is having this surgery now, and being able to recover fully and enter next season as healthy as possible is ideal.

The Celtics, even without Tatum, will be good next season. This Jaylen Brown surgery means he won’t be limited, and the rest of their roster should enter the season healthy as well.

Even though Tatum is without a doubt the Celtics' best player, they have plenty of others who can help the team win next year. So don’t be surprised if the Celtics are a solid playoff team next season despite missing their star.

This Jaylen Brown injury news only confirms that.
