Anfernee Simons spent his NBA career in Portland before being traded to the Boston Celtics this season.
On Sunday, Simons reached two career milestones that marked all he had done with the Trail Blazers while showing that he can still be key for Boston.
In fact, he hit both milestones on the same shot.
Simons got to both 6,000 career NBA points and 1,000 career NBA 3-pointers on the same make.

Throughout his NBA career, Simons has been a scorer.
He has a 15.0 points per game career average, which is also exactly what he's averaging through 11 games with the Celtics.
Simons is coming off the bench for Boston, something he hadn't done since 2022, but he's making it work. A 41.3% mark from 3-point range has made Simons particularly important to what the Celtics are doing in a season with no Jayson Tatum.
His milestones on Sunday night are pretty cool, especially for the folks who really appreciate round numbers. And it's just quite the quirk that they happened on the same shot.
Simons has a long NBA career still ahead of him, and surely there are more milestones to come.
