Young has been in the NBA since 2018. He was a fifth-overall pick out of Oklahoma.

The Hawks made Young an immediate starter as a rookie. He averaged 19.1 points and 8.1 assists in 81 games.

Throughout his career, Young had 483 games under his belt leading up to the 2025-2026 NBA season. He has posted averages of 25.3 points and 9.8 assists, while shooting 35 percent from deep.

This season, Young has struggled with injuries. In just 10 games, he has averaged 19.3 points and 8.9 assists. The Wizards are just 2-8 in games he’s played.

A trade out of Atlanta isn’t guaranteed, but Young and his reps seem more open to it than ever.
