What time does the NASCAR race start today? TV schedule, channel for Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 image

The first NASCAR Cup Series race of spring 2022 likely will be run entirely in the daytime.

Sunday's Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway will start at the usual mid-afternoon hour, but with Daylight Saving Time in effect, the race should finish before sunset. Atlanta has lights, just in case.

The uncertainty comes from the fact that Atlanta was reconfigured after last season. The 1.54-mile oval now has a superspeedway feel, and the racing Sunday will reflect that. That means there's a greater chance of "big one" crashes, long caution periods and even red flags.

Here is everything you need to know about the race, the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500, including the start time and TV channel.
