Connor Zilisch won for the sixth time this season in the NASCAR Xfinity Series but his celebration extracted a physical toll.

While climbing out of his car on Saturday at Watkins Glen, the 19-year-old prodigy and Trackhouse Racing development driver on loan to JR Motorsports tripped and fell face forward onto the pavement.

The fall appeared to have knocked him out momentarily and Zilisch needed to be stretchered out of Victory Lane.

Zilisch has tweeted the extend of his injuries following his release from the hospital.

Zilisch was scheduled to race in all three NASCAR races this weekend. He was set to start 25th in that race, driving the No. 87 Trackhouse Racing. The team has opted to withdraw instead of calling in a substitute.

Zilisch is the current Xfinity Series championship leader and the playoffs begin at the end of the month.
