Vladimir Guerrero Jr. playoff stats: How Blue Jays star slugged his way to World Series, ALCS MVP award image

When the Toronto Blue Jays signed Vladimir Guerrero Jr. To a 14-year, $500 million extension early in the 2025 season, they committed to him for the long-term. It didn't take very long for Guerrero to reward his team for that decision.

The 26-year-old slugger, who came up in the Blue Jays organization and reached MLB in 2019, has caught fire in the 2025 postseason. With five All-Star bids, a Gold Glove award and three seasons with at least 30 home runs, one of the areas Guerrero had yet to excel in was the postseason. He's flipped that script this October, leading Toronto to the 2025 World Series.

Moving up all-time Blue Jays postseason leaderboards in the process, Guerrero has played some of the best baseball of his career in recent weeks.

Here's a breakdown of Guerrero's 2025 postseason numbers, where he ranks on Toronto's all-time playoff home run leaderboard and more.

Guerrero came into the 2025 postseason in a bit of a cold spell. Toronto was the No. 1 seed in the American League bracket, but needed its top slugger to show up to make it where it wanted to go. Guerrero has done that, and some.

In the ALDS against the New York Yankees, Guerrero had nine hits in four games as Toronto won the series 3-1. That included three-hit games in Games 1 and 2, with two home runs at Rogers Centre -- one being a grand slam --  and another at Yankee Stadium.

Guerrero's dominance continued into his second postseason series, the ALCS against the Seattle Mariners. It took all seven games for Toronto to move on to the Fall Classic, with a 4-3 win in Game 7, but Guerrero bounced back from hitless Games 1 and 2 to catch fire in the Blue Jays' series comeback.

In Game 3 against the Mariners, Guerrero went 4-4 with two doubles and a home run. He also went deep in Games 4 and 6 against Seattle.

For his excellent performance in the series, Guerrero was named ALCS MVP, adding another honor to his growing resume.

Prior to the 2025 postseason, Guerrero had played in October on three other occasions. However, all three of those were quick trips for the Blue Jays — and all six of his career postseason homers have come in 2025 alone.

Guerrero had one hit in the 2020, 2022 and 2023 postseasons each, playing two games in all three years. Toronto was eliminated in the Wild Card round in those seasons.

The majority of Guerrero's strong postseason numbers can be attributed to his 2025 run. In fact, Guerrero's five strikeouts in four games between the 2020 and 2022 postseason were more than he had in 11 games of the 2025 postseason (3).
