Toronto Blue Jays' starter Shane Bieber may have saved his team's season with an impressive game 3 start against the Seattle Mariners in the ALCS on Wednesday. The series is now 2-1 after the Jays picked up a big 13-4 win.
Shane Bieber gave up a two-run home run to Julio Rodriguez in the bottom of the first, but really settled in from there by going six innings, and giving up just four hits and two runs, while striking out eight Mariners hitters. In a message to his team, Bieber made it clear he was ready for his big game moment.
Shane Bieber's message to his Blue Jays teammates.
The Blue Jays traded for Shane Bieber at the 2025 MLB trade deadline, and he delivered in the biggest moment of the season with a quality start.
Bieber sent an eight-word message to his teammates amid his game three start.
"Pick me up,” Bieber told his teammates. “I got good stuff tonight.”
And Bieber sure did have his good stuff tonight, and the Blue Jays' lineup picked him up nicely. After trailing 2-0, Toronto rallied for 12 unanswered runs to create more than enough separation in the pivotal game three. Toronto clubbed five home runs in the game, and now has momentum fully on its side.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. had a huge game three performance by going 4-4 with a home run and three runs scored. He's going to play a huge factor in how the rest of the series goes.
