Davis Schneider is a crucial member of the Toronto Blue Jays' lineup whenever they match up with a left-handed pitcher.
As a right-handed batter who can play in the outfield, Schneider usually starts when Toronto has the platoon advantage. That includes Game 5 of the World Series, when the Blue Jays take on Los Angeles Dodgers southpaw Blake Snell.
Schneider is hard to miss, too, thanks to his memorable look.
He's got both a strong mustache and some solid glasses. It makes for an appearance that not too many MLB players have.

Why does Davis Schneider have a mustache?
Davis Schneider has two reasons for his mustache: Top Gun and hitting.
He explained it in an interview a couple of years ago.
"It was kind of a hybrid thing I did," Schneider told TSN in 2023. "It was when Top Gun was starting to come out, so everyone got that mustache phase going. I joined that, and I wasn't really hitting well at the time, so I was like, I'm just gonna go full mustache and see if I can hit.
"It was a little bit of Top Gun, and that I wasn't hitting well at the time, so I had to change something up."
That's a very classic answer by a baseball player. Superstition is everything in this sport, and Schneider clearly has a bit of that in him.
He must've started hitting better with the 'stache, because he would've gotten rid of it otherwise. And now the mustache has taken Schneider all the way to the World Series.
