MLB posts insane stat of red-hot Toronto Blue Jays image

It's been an absolutely incredible run for the Toronto Blue Jays. There is absolutely no one in Major League Baseball hotter than the team north of the border. Toronto smacked the Detroit Tigers 6-1 on Saturday to win their fourth straight game.

But, not just four in a row, the Blue Jays have won 19 out of their last 23 games. MLB posted the insane statistic following their win on Saturday.

The Blue Jays, with the win, have moved to 6.5 games ahead of the New York Yankees, a team they were trailing heading into the month of July. Toronto has also moved to the best record in all of Major League Baseball.

In the ninth, Bo Bichette broke a scoreless tie in the eighth inning with a two-run single. The Blue Jays added insurance in the ninth inning with three home runs. Nathan Lukes, George Springer, and Vladimir Guerrero all went deep. It was the 18th of the season for Springer.

Toronto will look for a series sweep on Sunday. Max Scherzer takes the mound for the Blue Jays, and he will take on Jack Flaherty of the Tigers.
