Seranthony Dominguez started the 2025 season with the Baltimore Orioles. He did well there, but as the club struggled and lost its hope, they decided to trade him away.

Ahead of the deadline, he was acquired by the Toronto Blue Jays. They were looking to bolster their bullpen and did just that.

Dominguez went on to make 24 regular-season appearances, posting a 3.00 ERA across 21.1 innings of work. Now, the hard-throwing righty has hit free agency, looking to secure his bag.

There are some elite relievers on the open market. Guys like Edwin Diaz, Ryan Helsley, Devin Williams, and Robert Suarez will command much of the attention over the winter.

However, for teams searching for an arm that will not cost them as much as others, Seranthony Dominguez comes into play. ESPN's Kiley McDaniel believes he will receive a two-year, $15 million deal.

"I think a two-year deal makes the most sense here given his high-wire style of pitching."

The only caveat in signing him will be that fans will have to hold their breath. While he is dominant on the mound, he comes with a degree of risk.

He has a great strikeout rate, but his issues with command at times have come back to haunt him. He is known to walk a batter or two during his appearances and has to dig himself out of that hole with a strikeout or with his defense backing him up.
