The Toronto Blue Jays have decided this is their offseason.

The Dylan Cease signing was $210 million early in free agency, because why not add another starting pitcher? And now they've got Kazuma Okamoto signed, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan. Those signings probably don't preclude future moves, either.

Okamoto is a right-handed Japanese hitter who has played first base and third base. Will that impact the Blue Jays' pursuit of Bo Bichette and Kyle Tucker?

Frankly, probably not.

The Blue Jays seem to be in on every major free agent, and there are even indications that they would sign both Tucker and Bichette.

At this point, adding Okamoto is just a bonus.

Reports emerged this week that Okamoto would play left field if Toronto wanted him to, and that may be the way this is trending.

That wouldn't stop Bichette from coming back and playing in the infield with Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Ernie Clement and Andres Gimenez.

It also wouldn't stop Tucker from coming to town and being a right fielder, or mixing in with Okamoto in left, or moving players around in the infield and DH to get action for everyone at all sorts of spots.

The Blue Jays will worry about the intricacies of it all later.

Right now, they've just decided they're going to sign all the big time free agents they can get, and so far, they keep succeeding.
