The Toronto Blue Jays have spent the past few seasons in weird spots, but turned that around in 2025. Frankly, Toronto should be World Series champions if numbers played out the way they usually do.
However, it isn’t, and all the front office can do is try to fix that.
Kyle Tucker would do just that.
Joel Reuter of Bleacher Report believes the Blue Jays could be in pursuit of Tucker. He also mentioned New York Yankees outfielder Cody Bellinger.
“The Blue Jays have had a right-handed heavy lineup for some time now, and while the emergence of Addison Barger and Nathan Lukes has provided more balance and Daulton Varsho continues to be a good source of power, they are still lacking a true middle-of-the-order run producer from the left side. Slotting Kyle Tucker or Cody Bellinger in behind Vladimir Guerrero Jr. In the cleanup spot would be huge,” Reuter wrote.
If New York doesn’t pay Bellinger, the door opens for a division rival to step in aggressively. The Blue Jays might already be doing that if they don’t believe they’ll land Tucker.
Tucker is a better player, but it wasn’t like he was much better than Bellinger last year.
He might have been worse.
Either way, they’d be nice additions.
