Somehow it felt inevitable.

Of course, home runs aren't supposed to feel that way. Home runs are supposed to be hard.

But when you're as locked in as Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is, that's not the case.

Vladdy stepped to the plate in the top of the first inning at Yankee Stadium, having already left the yard ni each of the first two games of the ALDS.

And with a man on, Guerrero took Carlos Rodon deep.

Three straight games with a home run. Three straight games with multiple RBI.

Only one other player in MLB history has started a postseason like that, and his name was Hank Aaron, back in 1969, according to OptaStats.

It's the absolute stuff of legend for Guerrero.

Before the season, he had a drawn-out contract negotiation with Toronto, but in the end, he was given a $500 million contract by the Blue Jays to be their superhero.

This season, that's exactly what he's been.

And this postseason, he's been ever more than a superhero. He's been unstoppable.

Guerrero was already 10-for-17 against Rodon. This was the ideal matchup for him, especially considering he's the best visiting hitter in Yankee Stadium in the last five years.

Given the opportunity in a big moment, Vladdy didn't miss.

His second time up, with a man on, Guerrero was intentional walked. It was just as much of a no doubt as his first at bat home run was.
