The Toronto Blue Jays still have a lot of work to do in free agency.
Multiple big names that they've been linked to, like Bo Bichette and Kyle Tucker, remain unsigned.
Tucker would be an incredible acquisition if Toronto can pull it off. He's the consensus top free agent available.
There are a lot of teams in on Tucker, so the Blue Jays aren't a lock to get him.
But in a new article by MLB.com's Andrew Simon, he called Tucker the "perfect fit" for the Blue Jays.
It's just one more analyst thinking that Tucker to the Blue Jays really does make sense, which has to be a good sign.
"The Blue Jays have made no secret about the fact that, after coming oh-so-close to a championship in 2025, they are stepping on the gas this offseason in pursuit of that goal," Simon writes. "Toronto struck quickly to add Dylan Cease and Cody Ponce to its rotation and Tyler Rogers to the back of its bullpen. But what it hasn’t done is bolster a lineup with one major missing piece (free agent Bo Bichette) and a clear opportunity to improve in the corner outfield. The Blue Jays could opt to simply bring back Bichette -- especially given his willingness to shift to second base -- but landing Tucker’s lefty bat to pair with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Could be an even more impactful move. Tucker’s rare combination of skills would be a boon to Toronto’s title hopes, and his arrival would establish without a doubt the Blue Jays’ status as a franchise that can attract (and land) elite talent."

There have even been suggestions that the Blue Jays could both bring back Bichette and sign Tucker.
If that happened, the hype would be as high in Toronto as could be.
The Blue Jays lost in extra innings in Game 7 of the World Series. They'd love to rebound from that by winning it all in 2026.
Tucker would certainly help that become a reality.
