The Toronto Blue Jays are not done adding this winter, and their next target looks to be an infielder or outfielder. Kyle Tucker, Bo Bichette, and Alex Bregman are all players worth keeping close tabs on.

But, while Bichette has been linked to clubs outside of the organization, and Tucker's market is very slow developing, the market surrounding Bregman got an interesting update, which is some good news for the Blue Jays.

According to Evan Petzold of The Detroit Free Press, the Blue Jays are one of four teams actively pursuing Bregman this winter, and their top competition likely won't scare off Toronto from making an aggressive push if they want him.

"The Toronto Blue Jays, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, and Arizona Diamondbacks have been active in the Bregman sweepstakes," Petzold writes.

There's another team, the Detroit Tigers, who've been lingering in the market for Bregman. He's not receiving as strong an interest from Detroit, as they aren't in the sweepstakes just yet.

This report suggests that the Blue Jays are in the Bregman market, with the Cubs, Diamondbacks, and Red Sox as the top competition for the three-time All-Star.

Of these three teams, and four including the Tigers, only the Red Sox pose the biggest threat for Bregman from Toronto's perspective.

They have plenty of money to spend, and they should be able to out-bid the Cubs, Diamondbacks, and Tigers if they get involved.

He might not be the Blue Jays' top option, as they're also pursuing Tucker, Bichette, and potentially even Cody Bellinger.

With interest in Brendan Donovan and Ketel Marte, the Blue Jays might also choose to trade for a new infielder.

Bregman to Toronto is far from a guarantee, but this report makes it clear that the Blue Jays would have a leg up on the competition if they decide to strongly pursue Bregman as their next big free agent signing.
