Blue Jays get encouraging injury update on Bo Bichette ahead of ALCS image

It's hard to believe how easily the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the New York Yankees in the ALDS without Bo Bichette on the roster. Toronto scored 34 runs in four games without the MLB hits leader.

However, Toronto must turn the page, and they await either the Mariners or Tigers as their ALCS opponent. Bichette was left off the Blue Jays' ALDS roster with a knee injury, but the reports say he is progressing well and may be able to return to the Blue Jays' lineup later this postseason.

Blue Jays' Bo Bichette making strides for return

On Wednesday, the Blue Jays got two positive updates on Bo Bichette. The first being that he was set to run for the first time since spraining his knee. And then manager Jon Schneider addressed the media by saying the last three days have been positive in his recovery.

Bichette has not played since Sept 6.

Toronto has moved Andres Gimenez to shortstop in Bichette's absence to help fill the void, but there's no denying Bichette's value to this Blue Jays team.

Bichette was putting together a really strong 2025 season before the injury. He's hitting .311 with 18 home runs and 94 RBIs in 139 games. His batting average was second in MLB behind Aaron Judge.

The next few days will be critical in determining if Bichette will be on the Blue Jays' ALCS roster.
