The Toronto Blue Jays will face the New York Yankees for Game 4 of the American League Division Series on Wednesday afternoon.

But before the game, the Blue Jays got some encouraging news on their star shortstop Bo Bichette.

Bichette was left off of the Blue Jays' ALDS roster due to his left knee sprain, so he would not be eligible to play at any point in the series. However, the Blue Jays' star's health it crucial if the Blue Jays move onto the ALCS.

Blue Jays Get Encouraging Bo Bichette Update

As the Blue Jays went through pregame warm ups on Wednesday ahead of Game 4, Bichette was on the field with the team doing some light jogging.

The Blue Jays' shortstop did a few jogs back and forth in the Yankee Stadium outfield without a knee brace, according to The Athletic's Mitch Bannon.

Bichette was placed on the 10-day injured list on Sept. 9 due to his injury, missing the rest of the regular season. Now, the Blue Jays are hoping their star can return if Toronto can make it to the Championship Series.

The first major step in Bichette's recovery back from his left knee sprain is jogging. However, how he feels afterward will be even more crucial.

Game 4 between the Blue Jays and Yankees gets underway on Wednesday night as the Blue Jays have another chance to eliminate their division rivals, and advance to the ALCS.

If the Yankees win their second straight home game and stay alive, Game 5 will be back in Toronto on Friday, Oct. 10.
