Toronto Blue Jays slugger George Springer is coming off an impressive season. Coming off a career-worst year in 2024, he bounced back and showed everyone the type of impact he can make.

The 36-year-old slashed.309/399/.560 with a.959 OPS that was only bested by New York Yankees star Aaron Judge in the American League. He led all Blue Jays sluggers in home runs with 32, which is insane to think about with Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. On the roster.

Springer did end up missing some time with a concussion, wrist injury, but none were bigger than the oblique injury he sustained in Game 3 of the World Series. However, he was able to return to play through the pain, which says a lot about his leadership qualities.

It was announced on Friday that George Springer had taken home the Silver Slugger Award. He has now won the award three times: the first in 2017, the second in 2019, and his third one this season.

"Now in his fifth season with the Blue Jays, Springer had shown signs of decline in 2023-2024, but he rebounded in a big way in '25, even while turning 36 in September. Judge was the only AL hitter to top Springer's.959 OPS, and he added 32 home runs while stealing 18 bases on 19 attempts for the AL East champions."

Springer was the only Blue Jays player to win a Silver Slugger Award. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. And Bo Bichette were named finalists, but were edged out in the end.
