The Seattle Mariners aren't like the others.
It's not a super high bar to clear, but of the four teams in the ALCS, the Mariners are the only ones yet to get past it.
The bar: Making it to the World Series.
The Los Angeles Dodgers have been there a ton, of course, with victories. The Toronto Blue Jays are champions, too.
The Milwaukee Brewers at least got to the World Series once, in 1982, although that was back in their American League days, and they lost.
The Mariners have never been to the World Series.
Before this season, they hadn't even played in the ALCS since 2001. That year, their 116-win team from the regular season couldn't topple the mighty New York Yankees in the championship series.
This year, it's a bit different. It's Mariners vs. Blue Jays for a spot in the Fall Classic.

Toronto has been a great story, from a stumbling and bumbling April and May into a surge for the rest of the season and holding off of two East Coast powerhouses to win the AL East.
The Blue Jays have a deep rotation and a fun lineup.
But so do the Mariners, and they are seeking an end to their long drought.
That makes them worth rooting for, not to mention Cal "Big Dumper" Raleigh, Julio Rodriguez, Randy Arozarena and more.
Seattle is a blast of a ballclub, and if they can make their first World Series ever, the whole country would get to appreciate that.
