Lawrence debuted in MLB in 2017 with the Toronto Blue Jays. He pitched four games for Toronto that year before moving to the Mariners for an additional 23 games.

Lawrence made it into 11 more MLB games with the Mariners in 2018.

He remained inactive in 2024, then rejoined the Mariners in 2025 for five games (3.00 ERA) and had one difficult appearance with The Blue Jays.

Lawrence understands not to get too settled, yet it's commendable that he remains and continues his work, regardless of his assignment or whether a team desires him at any particular moment. He's still going strong.
