The Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Dodgers completed a trade late on Sunday.
The teams have swapped pitchers, with a left-hander going to Seattle while a right-hander goes to L.A.
The Mariners are getting Robinson Ortiz, a 25-year-old southpaw. The Dodgers are getting righty Tyler Gough, who is 22.
Ortiz pitched across three minor league levels in 2025, from High-A to Double-A and then finishing the season at Triple-A Oklahoma City.
At Triple-A, Ortiz had a 2.76 ERA with 14 strikeouts in 16.1 innings.
For the minor league season as a whole, Ortiz was at a 3.19 ERA with 72 strikeouts in 59.1 innings.
He's a 6-foot-tall lefty who joined the Dodgers organization from the Dominican Republic in 2017.
Gough missed the entire 2025 season with injury. He has pitched in 33 minor league games total with a 4.66 ERA and 123 strikeouts in 125.2 innings.
The Mariners originally drafted Gough in the ninth round of the 2022 MLB Draft.
The move comes as teams look to figure out their 40-man rosters ahead of the Rule 5 Draft.
Ortiz goes on to the Mariners' 40-man roster, which is now at 39 players.
Gough won't yet have to be on the Dodgers' 40-man, so they clear a spot off that for the time being as the offseason gets rolling.
