Mariners' Cal Raleigh makes MLB history with record never done by a catcher image

Cal Raleigh has the chance to end the season as a mega record holder for the catcher position.

In fact, the Seattle Mariners' slugger has already set an impressive MLB mark, and he's done it with time to spare.

Raleigh has 26 home runs and seven stolen bases through Thursday night.

He's the first catcher to ever reach those marks by the All-Star Break, according to The Couch GM.

Adding to the absurdity of it all, the All-Star Game isn't for another month.

Raleigh will have the chance to add to these totals even more.

At 6-foot-2, 235 pounds, Raleigh isn't a stereotypical base stealer, but he's set to break Mariners catcher Dan Wilson's franchise record for catcher steals when he gets one more.

Even crazier, Raleigh won the Platinum Glove last season as the best defender in baseball. He's a superstar everywhere he touches the baseball diamond.

Raleigh may not get all the headlines since he hangs out in the Pacific Northwest, but he deserves them. No one is having a season like his, not even Aaron Judge.
