The San Francisco Giants haven't been the big spenders like the Los Angeles Dodgers or other top clubs have been this offseason, but they've been making quality moves.
Tyler Mahle and Adrian Houser are nice rotation additions, but their most recent move, signing Harrison Bader, is a great move. It's a big boost to the outfield, especially if the former Philadelphia Phillies outfielder can play like he did last year.
But what is he getting paid? According to Jon Heyman of The New York Post, Bader's contract details for this two-year deal include $21 million. But it's not so simple; there are some incentives involved in his deal.
Giants' Harrison Bader contract details for two-year deal
Heyman reports that the new deal for the veteran outfielder is the following: "Bader Giants deal: $20.5M, incentives to take it to $21M."
This deal for Bader is not an expensive one by any means. It's just $10.5 million per-year at the maximum, which would mean Bader hits his incentives.
While the incentives aren't known just yet, it would typically be for playing well. $10.5 million per-year for a good outfielder is a steal.
Even though the Giants aren't spending big like some of the other top contenders around baseball, this $21 million deal for Bader is a quality deal.

The Giants are going to sign Bader to a two-year deal, as the 31-year-old outfielder will join his seventh team in 10 years in the Majors.
He's coming off a strong season with the Phillies, where he hit.305 with an.824 OPS in 50 games after being acquired at the trade deadline.
Combined with great fielding in the outfield, Bader was incredibly valuable for the Phillies last season.
If he can bring solid hitting, great defense, and good base running to the Giants, this $20.5 million, or $21 million max deal, would be a major steal for the Giants and Buster Posey.
