The young Darvish pitches at Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego.

He's listed at 6-feet and 190 pounds by Prep Baseball Report.

His PBR scouting page lists Shoei Darvish as having a 91 mile per hour fastball and a curveball that oscillates between 76-80 MPH.

When Darvish doesn't pitch for his high school team, he's listed as an outfielder.

In the 2025 season, the UC San Diego Tritons went 26-25, including 15-15 in conference play. They won the Big West back in 2023.

The Tritons are coached by Eric Newman, who is entering his 15th season at the helm.
