There's a new season ahead for the Pittsburgh Pirates, and Oneil Cruz has broken out a new haircut.
The 2026 season will feature a different look for the toolsy Pirates outfielder.
He revealed his new hair look to the Pirates' media group on Friday.
Essentially, he cut his dreads.

He just wanted to change it up, and so he called Andrew McCutchen to ask what he thought over FaceTime.
"He said you look a lot better," Cruz told the reporters. "And more handsome."

Will this help Cruz perform better on the field? We'll find out.
He's one of the most impressive talents in baseball, with immense power and speed, but sometimes can be quite inconsistent.
Maybe the new hair-do will bring consistency. It would be coincidence, not correlation, but it would still be fun if it worked out that way.
