The Philadelphia Phillies have had a busy offseason thus far, inking Kyle Schwarber to a five-year $150 million dollar deal. Additionally, the Phillies brought in former Cardinals and Rangers slugger Adolis Garcia on a one-year deal.

That said, they've yet to reach agreements with some of their current free agents. The trio of Ranger Suarez, J.T. Realmuto and Harrison Bader remain unsigned.

With other positions of need heading into 2026, many expected the Phillies to leave their outfield untouched after signing Garcia.

Reports corroborated this, as 21-year-old Justin Crawford is expected to make the Opening Day roster and play a vital role in Philadelphia's outfield.

That all could change though, as the Phillies are rumored to be in the market for a right-handed hitting platoon outfielder.

According to the Athletic, Randal Grichuk is a name they've been monitoring. Grichuk has served this role over the past few seasons after many years as a starter with the St. Louis Cardinals and Toronto Blue Jays.

Grichuk has made a solid career for himself, clubbing 212 career home runs in 1,360 games played with a.251 batting average. His best offensive season came with the Blue Jays in 2019 where he posted a career-high 31 home runs and 80 RBIs.

If Philadelphia were to sign Grichuk, it's still likely that Crawford, Brandon Marsh and Garcia would be starters in the Phillies' outfield. However, Grichuk would likely be one of the first names called to pinch-hit, though he can also play corner outfield positions.

As the offseason continues, all eyes are on the Phillies. Will they address positions of need first? Or go after extra reinforcements off the bench?
