The Philadelphia Phillies will soon extend Kyle Schwarber a qualifying offer worth $22.025 million, but the club might already know the answer from their designated hitter, who is coming off a career-high season at the plate.
USA TODAY's Bob Nightengale named Schwarber among the list of names of high-profile free agents set to decline $22.025 million tag this winter. Other players include:

Phillies to benefit if they extend QO to Kyle Schwarber
The Phillies are definitely going to extend a qualifying offer to Kyle Schwarber, as they could secure themselves with draft pick compensation if Schwarber rejects the QO and signs elsewhere.
Schwarber did well for himself in his final year of his four-year, $79 million contract. He had a monstrous season in 2025, hitting 56 home runs and 132 RBIs for the Phillies.
The Phillies have already made it known that re-signing Schwarber will be their top priority this offseason. As per projections, Schwarber might be looking towards a 3-to-4-year deal at $30 million per annum contract.
It remains to be seen if there is another interesting party that could give the Phillies a run for their money in their pursuit of Schwarber.
