Is the Phillies Karen kid Jake Elliott's nephew? Viral social media post tricks Eagles fans about kicker's family image

The Philadelphia Philies and Miami Marlins made headlines when a fan in left field, now commonly referred to as "Phillies Karen," made a scene after Harrison Bader hit a home run to her section.

She demanded the home run ball from Bader from a father who had gone down his row to secure the homer for his son. "Phillies Karen" followed behind him, demanding the ball, before getting it, much to the displeasure of the sports world, who immediately vilified the woman for her actions.

While her identity is unknown, there have been multiple false accusations about who "Phillies Karen" actually is. But that wasn't the only false report to come from this viral moment. Another rumor began that the kid who had his home run ball taken by "Phillies Karen" was actually Philadelphia Eagles kicker Jake Elliott's nephew.

Is the Phillies Karen kid Jake Elliott's nephew?

Similar to the false accusations placed on Cheryl Richardson-Wagner and Leslie-Ann Kravitz (the two women suspected of being "Phillies Karen"), this claim is another false anecdote from the viral saga, which continues to evolve.

Drew Feltwell and his son, Lincoln, were speculated to be related to Elliott, the Eagles kicker who is coming off winning Super Bowl 59. An article on azontree.com suggests that not only was Eliot's nephew the kid who had the baseball taken from him, but that the Eagles kicker spoke on the incident.

The article claims that Elliott said, "It's infuriating to see an adult yelling at a kid and taking his ball - especially on his birthday. That was my nephew. In Philly, we stand up for our kids, we protect them, and we make sure their joy always comes first."

There's no attribution for this quote, as it, unsurprisingly, is baseless. Elliott isn't related to the Feltwells, and he didn't make any public comments about the incident. If he were actually related, not only would his quote have proper attribution, but there'd be a lot more publicity than there is.

This article was shared on Facebook by Fly Eagles Fly, an Eagles fan account. Just like the claims previously about Richardson-Wagner being the Phillies' Karen, this rumor is also a false claim.

But, under the Facebook post, many Facebook users believed the story. They also were leaving comments calling out "Phillies Karen" and making fun of her, which has been far from abnormal in the days since the incident went viral.

Lincoln Feltwell came away with a signed Harrison Bader bat, along with a meet-and-greet postgame. While losing the home run ball stings, the young fan was able to get a goodie bag from the Marlins and a meet-and-greet with Bader postgame, making the most out of an unfortunate situation.

"Phillies Karen" has taken over the internet after the viral moment was captured in the left field stands during a Phillies and Marlins game. While the frustrations over the woman's actions are justified, the speculations have falsely claimed two women as "Phillies Karens" identity, and now, that Jake Elliott is related to the kid who lost the home run ball.
