The Philadelphia Phillies are entertaining a wild offseason move after J.T. Realmuto's free-agent talks fell apart.

Dave Dombrowski and company are seriously considering signing Toronto Blue Jays star Bo Bichette this winter, and with a meeting scheduled for Monday, things are trending in the right direction.

So much so that MLB insider Ken Rosenthal on Foul Territory revealed that he believes the Phillies are the favorites to sign Bichette this winter.

"If I had to guess right now," Rosenthal said, "I would say the Phillies are the favorite; we'll see what happens."

Rosenthal's proclamation that the Phillies are the favorites for Bichette is a big deal. While it's not confirming a deal will get done, it's a big sign that the Phillies can close a deal soon.

With the Boston Red Sox reeling after losing Alex Bregman to the Chicago Cubs, and turning their sights to Bichette, the Phillies' competition for Bichette might be a bit tougher than initially anticipated.
