The Philadelphia Phillies have become one of the most consistent teams in the MLB over the past few seasons. They have made the postseason the last four years in a row and are looking to do the same in 2026.

Philadelphia has been pretty busy so far this offseason, making some great moves. They re-signed Kyle Schwarber, a large portion of the team's offense, to a five-year, $150 million deal, but they did not stop there.

They also signed Brad Keller to a two-year deal, and signed Adolis Garcia and Zach Pop to one-year deals. Now, they just have to figure out what their catching situation will look like next season.

The Phillies are currently in a contending window, but that window is starting to close as key players like Bryce Harper are starting to age. He still has the ability to play at the highest level, but that can change in the coming years.

So, expect the Phillies to figure out whether J.T. Realmuto is coming back or not, and do not count them out in bringing in another difference-maker to help alleviate some of the offensive pressure from Harper.

Despite some holes, MLB.com's latest Power Rankings places the Phillies in fourth.

"Will J.T. Realmuto return? Are there more additions coming? The Phillies will once again try to win it all in 2026, before this team gets too old. It should be noted that they are not in fact that old yet. And a Bryce Harper bounceback in his age-33 season sure would be nice."

Much of whether the Phillies will contend or not will come down to Harper's 2026 season. By his standards, the 2025 season was not too kind to him, but he is a competitor and will do whatever it takes to come out stronger next season.
