Philadelphia Phillies president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski has been in charge of constructing the rosters in recent years. And while the Phillies have been good, they've not had postseason success.

This offseason has been a frustrating one for fans, as they've seen Bo Bichette turn down the Phillies for the New York Mets and the Los Angeles Dodgers, their top competition, get a lot better.

During the Phillies' most recent press conference, after the Phillies officially signed J.T. Realmuto, Dombrowski made a comment that will frustrate Phillies fans a whole lot more than they already are.

Bob Nightengale of USA Today shared Dobmrowski's comment, which was in response to the team's chances of signing another marquee free agent, "We're content where we are."

Dobmrowski doesn't plan for the Phillies to try and make any more big swings this offseason. Not for infield upgrades, outfield help, or even another top pitcher.

The Phillies are essentially done based on this comment from Dombrowski. While they could go out and sign or trade for some smaller names this offseason, the big, franchise-altering moves are not coming.

After losing out on Bichette and turning to Realmuto (arguably overpaying him for $45 million over three years), the Phillies are not willing to spend more this offseason, which is incredibly frustrating news for fans.

Cody Bellinger, Framber Valdez, and any other top free agent or trade option are likely now off the table. Alec Bohm is coming back, and as things currently stand, the roster is most likely set.

It's an incredibly frustrating reality for Phillis fans, as this comment from Dombrowski feels as if the team isn't listening to the fans clamoring for more.

Entering this offseason, there was a realistic concern that the Phillies would be "running it back." Other than some prospects potentially getting starting chances, and the additions of Adolis Garcia and Brad Keller, the Phillies are essentially running it back.

Except, with the departure of Ranger Suarez, the injury to Zach Wheeler, and Matt Strahm's trade, the team is in a worse spot.

For Dombrowski to say the team is done adding top free agents, despite the Phillies needing more, is incredibly frustrating.

Phillies fans have every right to be upset with how this offseason has gone, as while Kyle Schwarber's coming back is nice, it's been a severely disappointing offseason otherwise.
