If the Philadelphia Phillies lose Kyle Schwarber in free agency, they could be in the mix for somebody like Kyle Tucker.
Of course, the ideal scenario would be keeping Schwarber in town and also signing Tucker, but that isn't a likely outcome. The Phillies have been willing to spend with the best of them in the past years, but both players will be very expensive, with many suggestions that Tucker could be $400-plus million despite his recent struggles. For Schwarber, he's likely looking at around $100 million.
Could Phillies eye Kyle Tucker?
But according to Jeff Passan of ESPN, if Schwarber takes his talents to a different team, the Phillies could use Tucker.
At the very least, this is a positive sign that if the Phillies lose Schwarber, they could be working on a replacement.
"So, yeah, the number is going to be big -- likely in the $400 million range. The Philadelphia Phillies could desperately use a big corner outfield bat, particularly if the next player on this list takes his talents elsewhere," Passan wrote.

Tucker is better than Schwarber because of what he does on both sides of the baseball. Frankly, when he's hitting at his best, he's a better hitter, too.
However, Schwarber is very good and probably even a bit underrated.
There's also a side of the argument that suggests if the Phillies keep Schwarber around, they'd already understand what they're getting out of a player and know that he can play in Philadelphia.
Tucker seems to be more than fine in Chicago, but it's a much different sports city than Philadelphia.
