Phillies' Bryce Harper reacts to latest Alec Bohm news ahead of postseason image

Reports have indicated that the Philadelphia Phillies will move Alec Bohm up to the four spot in the lineup. After an offseason of trade rumors, Bohm has played excellent baseball, proving that he has plenty of value in Philadelphia.

It'll be interesting to see how he plays in the postseason after some disappointing showings in prior years, but for the most part during his time with the organization, Bohm has been an above-average player, even earning an All-Star nod last year.

"I'll probably have to move him up (in the order)," manager Rob Thomson said after that performance, per Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Bryce Harper speaks out on Phillies' latest decision

The question now for Bohm is whether he'll get better pitches to hit. With the Phillies having Bryce Harper, Kyle Schwarber, Trea Turner, and many other elite hitters in their lineup when they're healthy, Bohm has the opportunity to see some hittable pitches.

However, Harper doesn't expect Bohm to get many better pitches to swing at.

It wasn’t a diss to Bohm, as Harper added that anytime the Phillies have guys who can put the bat on the ball in play, good things typically happen.

"I doubt it," Harper said.

"I'm not saying that in a bad way," Harper added. "Any time you have a guy behind you that's going to put the bat on the ball and get on base and see pitches, that's huge in any stance."

One can make an argument that this is as big a postseason as ever for the Phillies, an organization that's looking to win a World Series.

Philadelphia has been at the top of the baseball world plenty of times over the past few years, but it has failed to reach the ultimate goal of winning at all.
