The Philadelphia Phillies and Los Angeles Dodgers will be back on the diamond on Monday night for Game 2 of the NLDS.

The Dodgers scored five runs in the sixth and seventh innings of Game 1 to come from behind and steal the win. Now, the Phillies will look to even the series before it heads to Los Angeles.

One year ago today, Phillies' outfielder Nick Castellanos sent Citizens Bank Park into a frenzy by walking off the New York Mets in Game 2 of the NLDS. Could Philadelphia be in for another electric win tonight?

Will Phillies' History Repeat Itself?

Last year, the Phillies met the Mets in the NLDS and advanced in four games. Philadelphia dropped Game 1 at home, and then won the next three games to advance to the NLCS.

Similarly, the Phillies lost Game 1 to the Dodgers on Saturday night, and now have one more game before the series heads to Los Angeles.

In fact, Oct. 6 has a special place in Philadelphia fan's hearts. In 2010, Roy Halladay threw a no-hitter in his first career postseason start as the Phillies beat the Cincinnati Reds.

Then. last year in 2024, Castellanos walked off the Mets in Game 2 of the NLDS to tie the series at one a piece, which was also the Phillies' last postseason win.

The Dodgers and Phillies are the favorites to represent the National League in the World Series, and Philadelphia is at risk of heading to Los Angeles down 2-0 if it can't put a win together tonight.

However, history is on the Phillies' side.
