The MLB Winter Meetings are right around the corner, and fans will want to prepare for a ton of moves to happen. For those unfamiliar, this is a four-day event that will begin on December 7th, where trades and free agency really start to ramp up.
There have already been a few moves, like Dylan Cease signing with the Toronto Blue Jays. However, there are still a ton of top free agents available and some trade rumors that some teams may want to check out.
The Philadelphia Phillies are one of the teams that is projected to be quite busy over the offseason. The question is, who will the club sign this winter?
MLB insider links three-time All-Star free agent to the Phillies
One of the Phillies' biggest priorities will be to do what they can to retain Kyle Schwarber. He is a leader in the clubhouse and a large portion of the team's offense.
However, that does not mean they are not linked to some other high-profile names on the open market. The Athletic's Jim Bowden points out that the Phillies have a real shot to sign Alex Bregman.
"There are several contending teams that Bregman would be a difference-maker for if he signs with any of them, including the Tigers, Phillies, Mariners, Yankees, Mets, and Blue Jays, as well as non-contending teams like the Angels and Pirates. His free agency is going to be must-watch during the Winter Meetings."
Bowden explains that Bregman's market is hot, and it will be one to watch when the Winter Meetings take place. Outside of the Phillies, Bowden also points to the Detroit Tigers, Seattle Mariners, New York Yankees, New York Mets, Toronto Blue Jays, Los Angeles Angels, and Pittsburgh Pirates as teams to watch here.
