New York Yankees slugger Jazz Chisholm Jr. didn't seem alright during his at-bat in the fourth inning of the series finale against the Houston Astros. Facing Astros ace Cristian Javier, Chisholm let two straight fastballs well inside the plate go through him before being struck out on a breaking ball.

During his at-bat, Chisholm seemed to be in some discomfort. It's unknown at the time whether it's because of some illness or any sort of injury. The Yankees have taken him out of the game and have replaced him with second baseman Jose Caballero.

Even during Wednesday's game, Chisholm didn't appear to be well at the plate. He was struck out three times in five plate appearances, while managing to put the ball in play once. However, just two games before, he homered twice and swiped the bag once in the series opener against the Astros.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. might have injured his knee

A report from Bronx Bombers news claimed that Jazz Chisholm Jr. injured his left knee while going for the big swing against Cristian Javier's strikeout pitch. Another report from USA Today's Pete Caldera claims that Chisholm Jr. "left tonight’s game with contusions to both knees, happening on separate plays."

At the time of writing, the Yankees are leading the game 2-1 in the top of the fifth inning. They might feel the absence of Chisholm Jr. down the stretch.

The Yankees All-Star is enjoying a fine second half since the Midsummer Classic break. He has hit 11 home runs and has stolen 16 bags already.
