The Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Dodgers faced off in the 2025 National League Championship Series, which began in Milwaukee since the Brewers held home-field advantage as the higher seed.
Game 2 took place on Tuesday, October 14. Milwaukee struck first with a solo home run from Jackson Chourio, but Los Angeles responded with five unanswered runs. The game is now being viewed in a different light after a viral video captured a heated fan interaction.
Dodgers fan Ricardo Fosado was surrounded by Brewers fans at the game. He had been in Chicago on a work trip and drove up to Milwaukee to support his team.
As the Dodgers mounted their comeback, Fosado celebrated and playfully asked nearby fans why they had gone quiet. One Brewers fan, identified as Shannon Kobylaczyk by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, fired back by mocking his drink of choice. When Fosado replied, Kobylaczyk tapped the shoulder of the fan in front of her and said, “Maybe we should call ICE.”
The exchange escalated into an argument, and Kobylaczyk ultimately got Fosado kicked out of the game. But the fallout from the incident didn’t end there.
Here is more on Kobylaczyk losing her job and resigning from another professional role after the incident at the Dodgers-Brewers NLCS game.

Brewers-Dodgers "Call ICE" video
The video includes foul language as Kobylaczyk insults Fosado for drinking a hard seltzer instead of a beer and reacts to her suggestion to call ICE on him. The clip, including the moment Kobylaczyk makes the remark, can be seen here.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel interviewed Fasado about the incident. He said, "I was like the only one wearing Dodgers gear, putting it in my face that Milwaukee scored. But as the game progressed, the atmosphere changed, it was a little more quiet." Fosado also mentioned that there was a back and forth between fans throughout the game, but it wasn't malicious and was what you'd expect from opposing fans at a baseball game.
When asked about what has since happened to Kobylaczyk, he said, "I don't think it was like horrible or something that should get her fired. I feel bad for her. We cannot be judged on one mistake and a lot of emotions were involved. It was just hurt feelings, nobody physically hurt anybody."
Fosado was overall in good spirits after the incident and getting removed from the game. "This is my first time at a Brewers game and I got kicked out, but you know what? I had a great experience and everybody was really friendly and welcoming. So I don't take that one incident and label the whole entire day bad."
The Brewers released a statement based on the video. "The Brewers expect all persons attending games to be respectful of each other, and we do not condone in any way offensive statements fans make to each other about race, gender or national origin. Our priority is to ensure that all in attendance have a safe and enjoyable experience at the ballpark."
Milwaukee added some further context, saying that the Milwaukee Police Department dealt with Fosado for disorderly conduct and public intoxication. The Brewers added that both Fasado and Kobylaczyk have been banned by the ballpark. "For these reasons and in accordance with our Guest Code of Conduct specific to ejections and physical confrontations, both fans are being notified that they are not allowed to return to the ballpark for future events."

Why did Brewers fan threaten to call ICE?
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has been controversial in the United States. ICE's mission, per the official website, is to "protect America through criminal investigations and enforcing immigration laws to preserve national security and public safety." Lately, ICE has been charged by President Donald Trump with finding illegal immigrants in the United States and arresting them to remove them from the country.
With Fosado, Kobylaczyk was essentially implying they should call ICE on him since he is of Mexican descent. Fosado is not only an American citizen, but also served in the U.S. Navy, serving in both Afghanistan and Iraq after signing up for the military following the 9/11 attacks, per the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

"As soon as we became aware of this video the individual was placed on immediate leave and we began an investigation," the statement read. "As a result of this process, the employee is no longer with the organization. We remain committed to maintaining a culture grounded in respect, integrity, and accountability."
Kobylaczyk also resigned from a board of directors role she held with Make-A-Wish Wisconsin.
