A rematch years days in the making.
The United States is vying for their second Olympic gold medal, and to get there, they'll face a familiar foe. Japan handed the United States their first loss of the Olympic tournament earlier in the week, and now they'll meet on Saturday morning to be called the best in the world.
The United States handed Korea a tough 7-2 loss, with the bats coming alive late to punch their ticket to the gold-medal game. The U.S. has only lost one game all tournament, and it was to the host nation.
Should the U.S. win, it'll be their second gold medal and their first in over 20 years, standing on the top step of the podium at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney. Japan is searching for their first gold medal.
