The path to the MLB Draft goes through San Diego.
For the second year in a row, MLB is taking a page out of the NFL's book with its own draft combine. This year, the combine will be held at Petco Park, home of the Padres.

Combine attendees will be given the opportunity to showcase their abilities in front of general managers and scouting directors over four days of practices, games, drills, medical evaluations, interviews and more. Players in the top 300 of draft-eligible prospects will attend, with a reported 255 players overall scheduled to make an appearance in San Diego.
Here's how to watch this year's MLB Draft Combine:
MLB Draft Combine schedule 2022
The second annual MLB Draft Combine will air exclusively on MLB Network, with on-site coverage Thursday, June 16, and Friday, June 17. The combine will be held at Petco Park, home of the Padres, from Wednesday, June 15, though Saturday, June 18.

MLB Network will provide two days of on-site coverage of the 2022 MLB Draft Combine. Coverage on Thursday, June 16, will begin at noon ET. Coverage on Friday, June 17, will begin at noon ET and continue for 6 1/2 hours.

MLB Draft Combine drills
Draft combine attendees will participate in a number of different drills, including batting practice, fielding practice and infield/outfield drills.
In addition to on-field drills, combine attendees will be able to meet with front office executives and scouting directors. Invitees may also go through strength and performance testing and undergo medical evaluations.
High school players will have opportunities to play against each other, with a game scheduled on both Wednesday and Thursday.
Prospects will also be shown educational videos preparing them for a career in MLB.
