For the first time since 2001, Seattle is reeling in the All-Star Game

It's quite the catch for the area as the hometown Mariners have experienced a revitalization in recent years — snapping the league's longest playoff drought last fall. Last time the Midsummer Classic took place in the Emerald City, the Mariners found their way into the ALCS before losing to the Yankees. 

They were led by a superstar in the outfield back then — Ichiro Suzuki — and have another one in the making now in Julio Rodriguez.

The race to the pennant begins at T-Mobile Park, with less than three months left before the first postseason pitch is thrown. For now, the teams will celebrate their achievement at baseball's biggest party.

  • Time: 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. local time)

First pitch of the 2023 MLB All-Star Game will be shortly after 8 p.m. ET, or 5 p.m. local time in Seattle. You can catch all of the pre-game festivities — and the game — on Fox. Coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. ET on the network with 90 minutes worth of pre game shows.
