The Mariners and the Braves begin a weekend interleague series Friday, with Seattle hoping to continue its hot streak over the past few weeks and the Braves hoping to maintain their dominance of the NL East.

This series features two of the brightest young stars in baseball, with Julio Rodriguez and Ronald Acuna Jr. looking to leave their mark in a primetime slot. Rodriguez has battled some slumps throughout the season, but he is still making extremely good contact, whereas Acuna is looking like an NL MVP candidate in the early going of the season.

Also for Seattle, Jarred Kelenic is finally looking like the centerpiece he was supposed to be in the Mariners' trade with the Mets, while Eugenio Suarez and Cal Raleigh have settled into their roles as well. The Braves, meanwhile, have the exceptional support cast of the power-swinging Matt Olson, the ever-steady Ozzie Albies, and offseason trade acquisition Sean Murphy.

They'll go up against the Mariners' league-best bullpen, which has been lights-out in recent weeks, as they try to get to Seattle pitching early.

Bryce Miller takes the balls for the M's, looking to string together another impressive display --  he's recorded the lowest WHIP through the first three starts of his career in MLB history at 0.421.
