The National League Championship Series shifts to Hollywood on Thursday as the Dodgers welcome the Brewers for Game 3.
The Dodgers return home riding high with a commanding 2-0 series lead after putting on a pitching masterclass in Milwaukee. Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Blake Snell were lights out, combining for 17 scoreless innings to silence the Brewers’ bats.
Yamamoto stole the show in Game 2, tossing the first complete game in an MLB postseason in eight years and guiding Los Angeles to a 5-1 victory. With two more wins, the Dodgers could punch their ticket to back-to-back pennants.
As for Milwaukee, the road doesn't get any easier. The top seed in this year’s postseason fought tooth and nail to reach its first NLCS since 2018, outlasting the Chicago Cubs in a gritty five-game NLDS.
But with their backs against the wall, the Brewers will need to dig deep and find some of that early October magic to keep their World Series hopes alive.
